About the Role
We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Afternoon Shift Lead to take charge of our marine construction crews during our critical second shift. What You’ll Do:
- Lead and motivate a skilled crew on active marine construction sites
- Keep projects moving safely, on time, and on budget
- Coordinate with project managers and morning crews to ensure smooth transitions
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce best practices
- Troubleshoot on the fly, solve problems, and keep your team focused and productive
- Support, train, and guide crew members for maximum performance
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid experience in marine or heavy civil construction
- Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred
- Strong understanding of marine equipment, site logistics, and safety standards
- Confident reading blueprints and managing real-time jobsite decisions
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel and scheduling software.
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA and First Aid certifications a big plus
Work Environment
- Shipyard and office environment.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven projects with multiple priorities.
- May require overtime or weekend work during peak project phases.
- Interaction with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
