About the Role

We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Afternoon Shift Lead to take charge of our marine construction crews during our critical second shift. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and motivate a skilled crew on active marine construction sites
  • Keep projects moving safely, on time, and on budget
  • Coordinate with project managers and morning crews to ensure smooth transitions
  • Conduct toolbox talks and enforce best practices
  • Troubleshoot on the fly, solve problems, and keep your team focused and productive
  • Support, train, and guide crew members for maximum performance

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience in marine or heavy civil construction
  • Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of marine equipment, site logistics, and safety standards
  • Confident reading blueprints and managing real-time jobsite decisions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel and scheduling software.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • OSHA and First Aid certifications a big plus

 

Work Environment

  • Shipyard and office environment.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven projects with multiple priorities.
  • May require overtime or weekend work during peak project phases.
  • Interaction with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
